Colston Hall is currently undertaking a £48.8 million transformation project to build a world class concert venue for Bristol. Our venue spaces at the Hall on Colston Street are currently closed until we complete our transformation and reopen in 2020.
During this time our Box Office, telephone lines and Colston Street Bar & Kitchen will remain open, we’ll be presenting a diverse offering of shows, parties, conferences and events in our open plan foyer space as well as presenting shows in venues of all shapes and sizes across the city, under the banner of Colston Hall Presents.

We recommend parking in Trenchard Street car park, situated behind Colston Hall. Enter via Trenchard or Lodge Street. Parking is payable at the pay-machines either on entrance (before leaving the car park for Colston Hall) or exit. You may find it easier to pay for your ticket before the show to avoid any queuing on the way home. Easiest access to Colston Hall can be found on floor one of the car park.
Please note Trenchard Street car park serves a number of city venues and can be extremely busy.
Colston Hall is on Colston Street, off the city centre promenade. We are ten minutes walk from the Broadmead shopping area, situated behind Colston Tower.
Temple Meads, the nearest station, is about one mile from Colston Hall. Buses 8 and 9 run directly run directly to the city centre promenade. For further info about train times please visit the National Rail Enquiries website or call 08457 48 49 50.
You can catch a ferry from Bristol Temple Meads and Hotwells to the City Centre stop on the Floating Harbour, which is a five minute walk away. Boats run every 40 minutes – visit the Bristol Ferry Boats website for timetables and fares.
Most buses to the city centre stop at the promenade, where we recommend you alight for Colston Hall. We are situated on Colston Street, behind Colston Tower. For further bus enquiries please visit the First Cityline website or call 0845 602 0156 (8am-8pm)

Via M5: Exit junction 18, follow A4 (Portway) to the centre. Follow the brown signs to directing you to Colston Hall.
Via M4: Exit junction 19 (M32). Follow signs to Clifton. For dropping-off / picking-up turn into Colston Street, which is the first left after the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI).
Look out for the brown signs directing you to Colston Hall.
Please bear in mind that Colston Street is no longer accessible from the city centre promenade – only from Trenchard Street via Pipe Lane, or when coming from the M32, turn left into Upper Maudlin Street, which is the first left after the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI).
